Could you buy anything from this man?
Speaking of critical thinking, I followed a pickup truck yesterday with a sign on the back that was intriguing. It was a nice-looking white truck. The sign said "We do home theatres. Mention this ad and get 10% off".
I have quoted the sign exactly and in its entirety, so you tell me, what is wrong with it?
I could see that it had signs on the side of the truck, but I was following it on a two-lane road. There was no way for me to know if the other signs had more information on them.
Think those guys will get any business? If you could, would you hire them?



What's their phone number? To whom should I mention the ad?

Anyway, the REAL problem is that it's a UK phone number, whenever you get it. Why, you may ask...? 'Cuz they spelled "theatre" [wrong]. In the Deep South, it's "theater". IMNSHO

Three weeks ago I spent a Saturday with Robyn Winters learning about the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument. HBDI differs from other assessments like DiSC or Myers-Briggs because it is based on physiology instead of psychology.
Here's what I learned:
Not everyone thinks like I do. [ha]
Physically, different people use different parts of their brain for the same cognitive functions. Amazing.
So, based on that HBDI documentation I'd guess that
~people who make decisions predominately from their lower left brain would not, under any conceivable circumstances, do business with this company;
~people who function most comfortably from their upper right brain wouldn't see anything unattractive.
Here's why I think this matters:
this sign will attract a certain type of client. If the business owner doesn't have a system that maximizes his time and profit with that type of client his business will not be successful.
Meanwhile, he won't understand why life is so difficult.
